We promote the development of health and its related services, envisioned through a community health movement and a community health approach to the existing public health problems. From the past decade and a half since its inception, we have and still continue to participate and strengthen health movements in India and around the world, supporting and engaging with people, communities, professional bodies and governments for equitable health and development, towards the goal of ‘Health for All’. In line with this goal, our motto says “Until Every Citizen is Healthy”.

We approach community health action through various aspects such as research, education, innovation and taking into account the socio-political, cultural, economic and environmental context.

This people-centric approach is also being nurtured in the next generation of community health leaders globally through its fellowship and other training programmes.
